am: easy 3 with yoga after. (Pegs 29)

pm: trail run tuesday.. chuckawalla great trail. legs got tried at some points but pushed through it. I really enjoy trail runs because your legs get tried pretty early in the run and like the feeling you get when you pushed pass the triedness, almost like a race. on the way back coach was a mad man going down the hill but it was fun going fast on the way back. pm:10 tempo day 18 min of AT.. this time it felt harder than last week. I enede up the same place last week but today felt like I really had to push. so idk. just won't let it bother me and focus on what I can improve on and get better. (Triumph 11)

am: easy fast 3. had our weekly pow wow about the book, great discussion, talked about our mile time. (Triumph 11)

pm: 6miles- old man hills. 1x800, 2x400, and 4x200 i felt pretty good during the workout just working on the knee drive and staying relax. (Triumph 11)

Meet at the park with Abel, Preston, Cam, Andrew, and Dallin. Our tempo was 15 min LT goal pace 5:38. Started tempo slow then quickly move into pace but slowly. At first I was keeping an eye on Cam and then passed him. Tried to catch up to preston and Andrew but couldn't because time was up but wasn't too far behind them! Tempo was probably my best one, felt relax and comfortable

Well goals for this week!

Monday: don't let my back problem  get in my head so I can finished the whole mile workout and hit my times.

Tuesday: PR in the mile. I know that my body can do great things, and get a 4:50 so excited to get that time!

Wednesday: I'm going to hit my goal time and by doing it smart. Don't go too fast the first lap be about 3-5 seconds slow the first lap and then push hard in the second lap!

Thursday: Do all the 200s around the same time. And to focus on the knee drive and leaning forward.

Friday: enjoy that easy day and win the root beer mile and take down the iron gut! (Coach Holt)

Saturday: do what I did last week on the LT tempo but start a little faster!

Am: didn't run this morning been feeling sick the past two days.

pm: 4x1600 I really wanted to finished the workout but didn't only did three... But still the best workout I ever had during repeats! Goal time 5:48. First one just tried to move into it 5:48 then second one 5:46 and the third one before I stopped was 5:43. Great workout for being sick and back being funky, next week goal do all four

am: 1.5 mile warm/cool around the course to show abel where to go. During the race I tried to stay by matt because I knew he'll be able to push me and so probably 2 1/2 miles of the race I was 15 meters behind matt and then 800 left of the race matt started to gap me so I started pushing too. around 350 meters left I heard cam behind me and he passed me and I kept up with him but he was able to get me by 2 seconds. During the race I felt really comfortable, I didn't really give the race much thought just running. I got my goal time which was suppose to be 5:38 and was able to get 5:38 average so right on, I'm starting to like tempo runs their not as bad as I thought just got to clear your head and go

am: 4x1600 repeat day with 400 recovery. 1.5 mile warm/cool. I finally did it, finally did the whole workout and felt very comfortable and actually enjoyed the repeats. Goal time 5:48, first mile just tried to take it easy not go to fast and got 5:46, second mile tried to do the same thing but tried to push more on the third lap 5:44, third mile tried to do the same thing, I did on the first and second miles but notice the third lap is still my struggle and pushed more on the third lap 5:42, and the last and final mile for some reason people were going slow so I decided to just pushed on the last one nice and comfortable 5:36. very happy which the workout

am: easy run with abel, the rest of the crew were up ahead going pretty fast.

pm: 16x 200 goal time :37, the first ten were around the time but some were :36's but it felt good. then the last 6 coach was telling us to go faster by driving our knees so I did and those were :34's but it felt good to go fast. great day.

First Half Marathon and I was excited. My mommy dropped me off by byron, dave, and preston, when did were doing there warm up so i got a 3/4 mile warm up. 

1-2 mile: the start was pretty good just kept it pretty chill behing andrew, dallin, and dave.

3-4 mile: making our way into hells hole, lead the pack of andrew, dallin, and dave inside hells hole, I was going pretty fast down the hills because i just let my legs and body take me down the hill. Then my feet were burning, it felt like it was on fire. so when we got out of hells hole i slowed down a lot to cool off my feet.

5-6 mile: since i slowed down dave, dallin, and andrew passed me along with other dudes. I slowly started to get my groove back going up the hill where mile 6 aid station was at, then I slowly went up the other hill aheading for mile 7.

7-8 mile: around mile 7 preston and cam caught up with me and we pushed pretty well down the hill going towards the double churches and mile 8. at some point a guy passed us so when he was leading for awhile I tried to stay behind hime until we passed mile 8.

8-10 mile: when we passed mile 8 I couldn't make my legs go any faster going up the hill, not like it's a hard hill but it felt so hard in a race. Preston passed me going up. I just tried to catch up. while we were heading back down the hill i tried to speed up to catch the next person which happen to be colton so i passed colton. heading to mile 9ish i could heard peeps. it was the dhills crew passing me going up majestic hill which is pretty beast because you're tried and it was long. I tired to go with them up but felt off, just trying to make my way up.finally when we reached the top there was a down hill going towards mile 10.

10-12 mile: passing mile 10 i passed dallen from dhills and making my way to preston. by mile 11.5 i passed preston and just wanted to be done. around this distance coach was waiting and told me to keep relax and catch the next guy. 

12- 13.1 mile: When i saw the aid station for mile 12 i was soo happy, because i was almost done and just need to go faster so i can finished. at the turn around point i pretty much walked around it. going back where coach was standing, i didn't notice but he told me keep my arms straight and not swing them each was very helpful i didn't know i was swinging my arms. when i changed i felt like i was going faster which is good and then the last 200ish matt was there and help me get started on my kick to the finish.

First Half Marathon was a success, it was a pretty fun race, now next time i know what to do different and get a faster time.

pm: easy 3 with striders went into washington.decathlon week today we did 110 hurdles and high jump. got a 22.8 i think for the hurdles and 4' 9" for high jump, couldn't get passed 5' 0"

am: easy 3 with yoga.. yoga felt nice make my hip feel a little better.

pm: 6 miles with 4 Fartleks.. the fartleks got me tired for the decathlon. today events were 200m and long jump. 200m was 28.4 and only jumped once and got 14' 2"

am: easy 3 felt back from the group because I had to pee so I went to my secret spot. then tried to catch up with the crew but they were cruzin' so I swag pace the way back.

pm: kosmin test... 2 mile warm and cool. the kosmin test was pretty good. i felt like i did pretty good got 40 meters farther than last time so that's good. today events shotput 23' 7" and 100m 13.83.

Am: easy 3 and donut run after

pm: 10x400 the workout was pretty tough, don't like 400's that much. Goal pace 1:14. The first one was way slow 1:22 and the next 4 were 1:16-1:18 and 5-9 were 1:14-1:16 and then the last one we decide to push on the last 200m and I got 1:10. Great workout. Events today were the 400m race that's way the last one was faster. Javelin and I got 61' 7"
